Hello guys! It's been a while since I made my last post, isn't? So today I'm going to show to you guys about an event that has been run by my class. Eventually, this event was held on 17 March 2020. and we're targeting students from Semester 2, 4 and 5. But surprisingly, our participants was not only from students, but we also received participation from our beloved lecturers either in Tourism Management and also Halal Food Practices. On this event, we invited Bentan Batik to be our guest and gives acknowledgement to our participates. Our guest introduce herself as Kak Zu and she represents Bentan Batik for that day. Exploring One Of The Pahang's Gems!

Hi guys! How are you doing? Is it good? I hope all of you'll be fine. 😀 Have you guys known about the types of textiles? Such as songket, batik and so on. This kind of textiles were famous in Malaysia. So this moring, our class DUP 4 has been brought to the Institute Kemahiran Tenun Pahang Diraja (IKTPD) located at the royal town, Pekan, Pahang. As the title goes, this is one of the Pahang's worthy gems that has been conserved to make sure this arts were not been taken by modern era. Mr. Fairuz give some briefing about the  introduction of the institute We arrived at the institute and welcomed by Mr Fairuz and other teachers there. We were told that this Tenun Pahang originally from Riau or Sulawesi, the fabric was brought into the peninsula in the 16th century by the Makasar community which settled in Kampung Mengkasar, Pekan. Short Escape To Gambang Safari Park!

                   On 5 March 2020, our class DUP 4 having a day trip to Gambang Safari Park. The purpose of this trip was to learn how do the interpreter at the Safari Park give commentary about their park to visitors. So we decided to depart from our polytechnic, Politeknik Metro Kuantan (PMKu) at 2 PM. the journey to Gambang Safari Park took about one hour and a half. As we arrived there, our lecturers buying entrance ticket while my classmates taking some footage to be insert into our video assessment. Hi guys! today I'm going to share with you about a talk that has been held on PMKu regarding artifact conservation. Sounds interesting, right? Well the talk was handled by 2 Sungai Lembing's Museum representatives. This talk was held during my class subject's Visitor Interpretation Services. Sungai Lembing's curator was giving  talks about the museum Sungai Lembing Museum is located in Sungai Lembing, home to one of the deepest and longest tin mine in the world. We were told that the museum, once the residence of a mining officer, houses exhibitions of the history of Sungai Lembing and tin-mining related displays. Since 1446, tin has been mined and exported from Pahang   based on Chinese records.
